Beginner's Guide
Everything you need to know to start playing ITAMI. Character creation, first Quirk, training, and your first fight.
Welcome to ITAMI
ITAMI is an MHA-inspired anime RPG fighter on Roblox. This guide covers everything you need to know before the game launches in April 2026. The core gameplay loop involves obtaining a Quirk, training your stats, and fighting other players or PvE enemies.
Character Creation
When you first join ITAMI, you will create your character. Based on similar games like Project Mugetsu, expect a character creator where you customize your appearance. You will also choose between theHero and Villain legacy paths, which shapes your storyline and available quests.
Tip
Getting Your First Quirk
Quirks are supernatural abilities that define your combat style. You can get your first Quirk through Quirk Rolling using in-game Cash. Each Quirk has a rarity from Common to Mythic, with rarer Quirks being harder to obtain.
For beginners, Electric Shock (Common rarity) is the easiest Quirk to learn and very effective. If you roll Explosion or One For All, those are excellent finds. Check our How to Get Quirks guide for rolling tips.
Training Basics
ITAMI has four core stats: Strength, Speed, Stamina, and Quirk Control. You train these at the Gym and other training locations around the map. Each stat affects different aspects of combat:
- Strength increases M1 and physical damage
- Speed affects movement and attack speed
- Stamina governs your energy pool for dashing and blocking
- Quirk Control boosts ability damage and cooldown efficiency
Check our Best Builds guide for optimal stat distributions.
Your First Fight
ITAMI uses a True Stun combat system. When you land an M1 combo (basic attack chain), the opponent is briefly stunned and cannot block or move. This rewards aggressive play and good timing.
- Start with M1 combos (Left Mouse Button) to learn the timing
- Use Block (F key) to defend against M1 attacks
- Use Dash (Q key) to dodge and reposition
- Once comfortable, weave Quirk abilities (Z/X/C/V) into your combos
- Watch out for Guard Break (M2) which punishes blocking
